Musique de concert, Musique à l'image, Musique pour le spectacle, Musique enregistrée, Bande son, Architecture sonore, Création Sonore et Musicale...

Sa musique pourrait se décrire comme une belle invitation au voyage empreinte d’une sensibilité hors du commun.
Elle est le reflet de ces nombreuses influences et expériences musicales ainsi que de ses nombreux voyages aux quatres coins du monde.

Amoureux du piano et de tout ses dérivés plus modernes, ces instruments sont pour lui une palette de couleurs sonores inépuisables à partager avec le plus grand nombre. Car la musique avant tout pour lui c’est de l’émotion. A l’état brut, sans possibilité de tricher. Le chemin le plus court d'un coeur à un autre.

Autrement dit, la fusion est ce qui caractérise le mieux ce que Florian essaye d’être en tant que musicien.

Florian Laporta was born in 1968. His first contact with music is at 5 in a school of music forchildren. At 6 he moved with family to Buenos Aires (Argentina) for 4 years. Florian was then exposed to South American music like Tango, Indian music and lot of north America music like Jazz, Rock, Hard Rock. He continue musical education in Argentina.

Came back to France at 10 and really musical education, he attended solfa, singing, trombone and saxophone lessons at a local music school.
Florian subsequently focussed on classical piano with a personal teacher graduate from BALE music school.
His teacher quickly understood he was attracted by jazz and blues and she had Florian working really hard on classical and jazz music & harmony. Florian is really greatfull for that. Showing him harmony bridges beetwen classical (DEBUSSY, RAVEL, COPELAND), Blues and Jazz...
At this point, first revelation for him was listening Koln concert from Keith JARRETT, his piano master.

    « I started composing my first pieces for piano and I knew that music will be forever part of my life. I was 15 when I started playing saxophone and keyboards in a (big) band, a choral with 100 singers, 30 musicians. It was my first studio session recording a musical comedie and beginning touring. »

Following year, another studio experience with the recording of a single next year came keyboards studio session in Paris with his brother’s band "COVERS BOYS".
Florian later moved to Lyon (France) to work in theatre as sound engineer.
In 1992 he moved to south of France to work as free lance sound engineer and joined "D-SIDERS" as keyboard player.
After 2 years there, Florian was hired by the Opera National de Lyon as Sound engineer & Ballet sound engineer.

    « The next 4 years I had to put aside my own musical activity because I was on the road 4 months per year with BALLET. Hard work but enriching experience working with famous choregraphers, dansers, musical directors, and singers.
    In 1999 Paul and I started SLAP STUDIO, dedicated to mixing, mastering, sound and musical creations and lately recording (THE GREEN MILL STUDIO). »

Florian joined IGNEM in 2001 and kept on working as keyboards/pianos touring player, sound engineer, sound designer, composer and productor on various projects.
When it comes to music Florian listen to, he got rather ecclectic tastes and he enjoy listening to Classical, Jazz, & lot of different bands like PINK FLOYD, MARILLION, YES, GENESIS, KISS, DEF LEPPARD, UZEB, SIXUN, TOTO, RUSH, SAGA and more…

Florian always tried to keep an open mind, and really see music as a borderless world where all styles could merge together without restriction or constraints: In other word "fusion".

Fusion is what describes best what Florian try to achieve as a musician.
